Remote Lab — 24/7 Virtual Computer Lab
Our Remote Lab gives you 24/7 off-campus access to specialized software through a virtual desktop. You can log in from your personal computer and use the software as if you were in an on-campus lab.
Virtual Labs
The Main Virtual Lab gives you access to many of the most commonly used programs across campus. It is recommended to use this lab unless you are enrolled in a specific class or major that requires one of the other lab options. You’ll find software like the Adobe Creative Cloud, Mathematica, R, ArcGIS and others.
Use the Main Virtual Lab for:
- Data analytics and statistics
- Math and science work
- Mapping and GIS projects
- Design and creative projects
- Research and academic work
The Au Sable 109 Virtual Lab is best for classes that focus on data visualization, coding and business tools and has software such as Tableau, Power BI and PyCharm.
Use the Au Sable 109 Lab for:
- Programming and software development
- Data visualization and dashboards
- Business and analytics projects
The Beaumont 302 Linux Lab gives you access to a Linux operating system and is typically used for computer science and information technology courses.
How to Connect to the Remote Lab
Accessing our remote lab is easy! You will need your SUNY Plattsburgh username and password and authentication through the DUO app. Visit https://remotelab.plattsburgh.edu/ to get started.
