Learn in-demand skills
Stand out in a competitive job market with a microcredential from a trusted source.
Microcredentials
Microcredentials are short, focused credentials which provide in-demand skills, know-how and experience. Stackable microcredentials can also provide a pathway to a certificate or to an initial or advanced degree.
Learn a New Skill in Months — Not Years
Earn verified skills in months, not years, with short, flexible programs. Many take just two semesters — or less with prior credit — and can stack toward a certificate or degree when you're ready.
Taught by SUNY Plattsburgh faculty, our microcredentials blend coursework from registered degree programs, hands-on learning, industry certification prep, and non-credit options. A microcredential could be coursework alone (commonly three courses), a series of workshops, or a combination of coursework and an applied learning experience.
Current students, alumni and community members with an associate's or bachelor's degree are eligible to enroll.
