  The CDC is available to you as a student and as an alum for all your career coaching needs. We offer individual appointments with our counselors on a range of topics including:

  • Resume and cover letter review and development
  • Job/internship searching
  • Career exploration
  • Choosing a major
  • Graduate school
  • Interview preparation

• Drop-In Hours

  Stop by our drop-in hours — no appointment necessary. We can assist with resumes, cover letters and other career questions.

  • Monday – Friday from noon – 2 p.m.
  • We are located in 118 Angell College Center.  
• Career Closet

  Our Career Closet features gently used clothing for interviews, internships, conferences and other events that require professional dress. Items are free to students. Call or stop by the Career Development Center for more information.

  LinkedIn is a powerful platform used for career exploration, networking, and job searching. It is important to have a complete profile, including a photo. The Career Development Center offers free headshots! Simply make an appointment, wear a nice top or shirt, and come see us!

  Hours of availability are from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

  The Career Development Center offers opportunities to explore career options one-on-one with a career counselor. During these sessions you may be offered the opportunity to take an assessment which can further assist in exploring different careers

  • Post a job/internship — Please visit our Employers page for information on how to get your job or internship opportunity in front of current Plattsburgh students.
  • Career Consultation — Schedule an appointment and we can assist you with resume, job search, interviewing, salary expectations and more.
  • Handshake — An online comprehensive career management portal with job postings, resume help and more.
  • Volunteer/mentor — If you want to volunteer or mentor to help a current student with career issues, we welcome your involvement.
