Here are directions to key buildings you may be looking for during your visit to campus. If you are traveling by car, be sure to use the GPS address listed for the most accurate directions to your intended location.
- Angell College Center
GPS Location: 36 Rugar Street, Plattsburgh, NY 12901
From Albany, New York City, Long Island and New Jersey (South)
- Take Route 87 N to exit 24 (Albany). Pay toll and follow signs for I-87 N (Montreal).
- Take the Adirondack Northway (I-87) north to exit 37 (Plattsburgh).
- Turn right at the traffic light and proceed east on Route 3.
- Go 1 mile to where Route 3 (Cornelia Street) intersects at a “Y” with Broad Street. Bear right on Broad Street. At the third traffic light, turn right. The Kehoe Administration Building will be directly in front of you (Kehoe is a ten-story building).
- Turn left in front of the Kehoe Administration Building and park in the parking lot straight ahead.
- After parking, follow sandwich board signs to the entrance of the Angell College Center.
From Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse (Western and Central New York)
A sample route may be as follows:
- Take I-90 E to exit 24 (Albany). Pay toll and follow signs for I-87 N (Montreal).
- Take the Adirondack Northway (I-87) north to exit 37 (Plattsburgh).
- Turn right at the traffic light and proceed east on Route 3.
- Go 1 mile to where Route 3/Cornelia Street intersects at a “Y” with Broad Street. Bear right on Broad Street. At the third traffic light, turn right.
- The Kehoe Administration Building will be directly in front of you (Kehoe is a ten-story building). Turn left in front of the Kehoe Administration Building and park in the parking lot straight ahead. After parking, follow sandwich board signs to the entrance of the Angell College Center.
From Vermont and New Hampshire (East)
- Take I-89 N in Vermont to exit 17 (Route 2).
- Bear right on Route 2. Follow Route 2 until junction with Route 314.
- Make a left on 314 W next to Mobil station.
- Follow to blinking caution light, turn left and board the ferry (Northern Crossing – Grand Isle to Plattsburgh).
- When you reach New York, follow 314 W until stoplight.
- Turn left on Route 9 and follow hospital signs.
- At the next traffic light, turn right on Boynton Avenue.
- Drive approximately three quarters of a mile, then turn left on Beekman Street.
- Continue past hospital entrance. After the hospital entrance, continue through the next two traffic lights towards the Kehoe Administration Building. (Kehoe is a ten-story building).
- Turn left in front of the Kehoe Administration Building and park in the parking lot straight ahead.
- After parking, follow sandwich board signs to the entrance of the Angell College Center.
From the North Country (Watertown, Potsdam, Malone)
- Merge onto US-11 N.
- Continue to follow US-11 N until junction with NY-190 in Ellenburg.
- At the flashing yellow light, turn right onto NY-190.
- Follow NY-190 all the way to NY-3 (Plattsburgh).
- Turn left onto NY-3 (Cornelia Street).
- Go approximately 2.5 miles to where NY- 3 (Cornelia Street) intersects at a “Y” with Broad Street.
- Bear right on Broad Street. At the third traffic light, turn right.
- The Kehoe Administration Building will be directly in front of you (Kehoe is a ten-story building).
- Turn left in front of the Kehoe Administration Building and park in the parking lot straight ahead.

From Montreal, Canada
- Take Route 15 south until you reach the border.
- Continue on Adirondack Northway (I-87) south to exit 37.
- Turn right at the traffic light and proceed east on Route 3.

- Bear right on Broad Street. At the third traffic light, turn right.

- Feinberg Library
GPS Location: 2 Draper Ave., Plattsburgh, NY 12901
Before visiting, please register your vehicle to ensure you will not get a ticket. Register online.
Park in lot 8 (on Draper Avenue) or lot 28 (on the corner of Park and Draper Avenues). These lots provide closest access to the library and the Kent Gallery. They are also most suitable for wheelchair access to the library.
NOTE for Kent Gallery visitors: Lot 28 reserves two parking spaces just for museum visitors.
From either lot, walk around to the front of Feinberg Library and use the main (level two) entrance. Kent Gallery is on this level in the library.

- Take the Adirondack Northway (Interstate 87) north to exit 37 (Plattsburgh).
- After coming off the exit, turn right at the traffic light and proceed east on Route 3.
- Remain in the right lane to turn right.
- Go to the fifth traffic light and turn right onto Cogan Avenue (Domino’s Pizza is at the corner).
- Proceed on Cogan Avenue to the second stop sign at the intersection with Rugar Street. The entrance to the Field House is straight ahead.
- Cross Rugar Street and enter the main entrance to the Field House grounds.
- Turn right and the parking lots will be on the left in front of the Field House.

- Take the Grand Isle Ferry to Plattsburgh.
- Continue straight on Route 314 (New York state).
- Cross Route 9 and the Adirondack Northway (Interstate 87) and bear right (south) onto the I-87 S ramp.
- Take the Adirondack Northway (Interstate 87) north to exit 37 (Plattsburgh).
- After coming off the exit, turn right at the traffic light and proceed east on Route 3.
- Remain in the right lane to turn right.
- Go to the fifth traffic light and turn right onto Cogan Avenue (Domino’s Pizza is at the corner).

- Continue to the seventh traffic light and turn right at the intersection onto Cogan Avenue.
- Proceed on Cogan Avenue to the second stop sign at the intersection with Rugar Street. The entrance to the Field House is straight ahead.
- Cross Rugar Street and enter the main entrance to the Field House grounds.
- Turn right and the parking lots will be on the left in front of the Field House.
From Montreal, Canada
- Take Route 15 S to U.S. Customs at the U.S. – Canada Border.
- Continue south on Adirondack Northway (I-87) south to exit 37.
- After coming off the exit, turn right at the traffic light and proceed east on Route 3.
- Remain in the right lane to turn right.
- Go to the fifth traffic light and turn right onto Cogan Avenue (Domino’s Pizza is at the corner).

- Take I-89 N in Vermont to exit 17 (Route 2).
- Bear right on Route 2. Follow Route 2 until junction with Route 314.
- Make a left on 314 W next to Mobil station.
- Follow to blinking caution light, turn left and board the ferry (Northern Crossing – Grand Isle to Plattsburgh).
- When you reach New York, follow 314 W until stoplight.
- Turn left on Route 9 and follow hospital signs.
- At the next traffic light, turn right on Boynton Avenue.
- Drive approximately three quarters of a mile, then turn left on Beekman Street.
- Continue past hospital entrance.
- At the next traffic light, you will see Hawkins Hall ahead on the right (Hawkins Hall is a castle-like building).
- Turn right at the traffic light onto Cornelia Street (Route 3).
- The Hawkins Hall parking lot will be on your left.
- Proceed across Beekman Street to Redcay Hall via crosswalk. Redcay Hall is located between Brinkerhoff and Court Streets.
From Boston, Hartford, Springfield (Southern New England)
- Take the Massachusetts Turnpike to I-87 in New York state.
- Take I-87 N to exit 24 (Albany). Pay toll and follow signs for I-87 N (Montreal).
- Take the Adirondack Northway (I-87) north to exit 37 (Plattsburgh).
- Turn right at the traffic light and proceed east on Route 3.

- Turn left onto NY-3 (Cornelia Street)

Public Transportation to Plattsburgh
- Air — Plattsburgh International Airport
The Plattsburgh International Airport is approximately three miles from campus (Exit 36 on I-87). Air service is provided by Allegiant, Breeze Airways and Contour Airlines. Allegiant and Breeze serve multiple Florida destinations including Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, and St. Petersburg. Contour Airlines currently offers service to Philadelphia with connections to 90 destinations on American Airlines. Starting in early 2025, Contour Airlines will switch their service from Philadelphia to Washington/Dulles International Airport, connecting the North Country to 100 destinations world-wide on United Airlines. - Bus — Greyhound
The Greyhound station is currently located in downtown Plattsburgh at 22 Durkee Street, approximately one mile from campus. Multiple departure times for downstate travel are available daily with complimentary WiFi for all passengers.
- Rail — Amtrak
The Amtrak station is located in downtown Plattsburgh, approximately one mile from campus. The picturesque Adirondack train runs daily to Albany and Penn Station, where connecting trains can take you to Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, DC.
- Ferry — Lake Champlain Ferries
Three ferry options exist for visitors looking to cross Lake Champlain. The Grand Isle, VT/Plattsburgh, NY ferry is the most practical and popular option, running 24 hours a day, year-round. This ferry will land you within seven miles of campus and runs every 15-20 minutes during regular commuter hours. The ferry also makes it a mere 30 minute drive to Burlington once in Vermont.

Plattsburgh has a variety of local, reliable taxi services to help with transportation during your trip to campus. We are also serviced by Uber and Lyft, which also offer affordable, convenient options. Enterprise and Hertz also have local offices in Plattsburgh if you would like to rent a vehicle.
