Lists Targeted to Specific Campus Groups
- Google Group Population-Based Lists — Centrally Maintained
These lists reside in Google and are centrally maintained based on certain roles in our Banner system. Programs run daily to add and remove users as needed. These lists are available to receive mail from anyone with a campus email address. They are not moderated or constrained, and do not include any branding. They require users to follow acceptable content guidelines.
Members of the campus community who meet criteria for inclusion are not allowed to opt-out of these lists, which are available in the Global Address List (GAL), a searchable directory shared with the college community.
To send to these lists, add @plattsburgh.edu to the ending of an available list name (shown below).

Campus departments can request manually created ad hoc lists. Names of these lists can be freeform, based on user request. Membership to these groups is maintained by a designated individual in the requesting department. These lists are available in the Global Address List (GAL), a searchable directory shared with the college community.
Request a user-maintained Google list by contacting the ITS Helpdesk at 518-564-4433 or [email protected].
