Dr. Karen Naaman
Assistant Professor of Accounting
Dr. Karen Naaman has joined SUNY Plattsburgh as an assistant professor of accounting. Before joining SUNY Plattsburgh, Dr. Naaman was an instructor in accounting at Concordia University, Montreal and received the Tasha Wallace Excellence Teaching Award, 2021.
Dr. Naaman earned her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Lebanese American University, Lebanon. She earned her Ph.D. in accounting (2021) from Concordia University, Canada.
Dr. Naaman’s research interests focus on corporate governance, executive compensation, financial accounting, and non-GAAP reporting. She is the recipient of 2020 Bertram Scholarship for the applicability of her research to developing governance best practices in Canada.
Dr. Naaman’s teaching interests include financial and managerial accounting, intermediate accounting, cost accounting, and accounting information systems.
