Dr. Rebecca Fox


Lecturer of Accounting

Rebecca Fox joined the accounting faculty as a lecturer in business law in 2023. She previously worked as an assistant professor at Clinton Community College. Rebecca owns and operates a private law practice in Northern New York representing clients in local, state, and federal courts. Her practice involves various areas of law such as civil litigation, criminal, family, wills and probate matters and real and personal property. The majority of her practice includes researching law, drafting legal briefs and arguing before the state appellate courts. Fox is also a hearing examiner for the Clinton County Health Department and an instructor for the Plattsburgh (Zone 9) Police Academy lecturing on civil liability in law enforcement.

Fox graduated magna cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden, Connecticut and received Honors for Academic Excellence, Excellence in Clinical Work, as well as, Distinguished Academic Achievement Awards for Legal Drafting and Writing and New York Civil Procedure and Legal Skills. After graduating from law school, she became a law clerk in the Connecticut Superior Court. In 2004, she relocated to Clinton County and began working as an associate attorney for O’Connell and Aronowitz, P.C. until she opened her own practice in 2006.

Rebecca is active in the local community, a member of a number of associations and sits on the Board of Directors of Behavioral Health Services North, Inc. in Plattsburgh.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading and learning new skills, and weather permits being outdoors; hiking, snowboarding and kayaking.
