Our accounting faculty will work closely with you from the first day you arrive to campus as a first-year or transfer student to insure your success, not only academically, but also professionally.
The accounting curriculum at SUNY Plattsburgh is updated and revised continually to provide the best educational experience possible. We empower you with advanced technical and data analytic skills through the use of Excel, VBA, spreadsheet automation, SQL, just to name a few. Each accounting major is assigned a full-time accounting faculty as academic mentor/advisor, who will continue with you until successful graduation. In addition to our academic advising and mentorship, we have created two additional mentorship programs: student-to-student mentorship program, and student-to-alumni mentorship program.
Our small class sizes in upper-level accounting courses allows greater class interactions and participation, and makes the educational experience more fun and enjoyable. We as accounting faculty believe in “partnership in education,” and our ultimate goal is your success.
