Accounting Master’s
NYS CPA LICENSURE-QUALIFYING PROGRAM — Fully online
This fully online, asynchronous 30-credit Master of Science in Accounting program is a registered New York state CPA licensure-qualifying program, offered by the AACSB-accredited School of Business and Economics at SUNY Plattsburgh. Whether you have a traditional B.S. in accounting or are looking to transition into the accounting profession, this program provides the technology-focused accounting and business law coursework needed to advance your career.
Completing this graduate program and its prerequisite courses will fulfill the New York State CPA-150E educational requirements (33 credits in accounting and 36 credits in general business) for obtaining a CPA license.
What Will I Learn?
This technology-oriented program offers a curriculum that focuses on forensic accounting and accounting analytics, two fields that provide significant growth opportunities for accountants. You’ll develop technical fluency in widely used accounting and analytics programs — UiPath, Alteryx, KNIME, Power BI, Tableau, CaseWare IDEA, Python and SQL — equipping you with skills that translate directly to the workplace.
Upon graduation, you will be able to:
