Labs & Facilities
Hudson Hall was renovated at a cost of approximately $22.5 million with an additional $4 million spent on equipping the labs and teaching spaces. The resulting teaching and research facilities are bright and airy and offer students an excellent learning environment and the opportunity to work with the most up-to-date equipment.
Biology Laboratories, Research and Teaching Spaces
The Department of Biological Sciences moved into brand new facilities in the completely renovated Hudson Hall in fall 2013. Hudson Hall houses the Department of Biological Sciences, as well as the Department of Chemistry, Department of Physics and the Center for Earth and Environmental Sciences.
Adjoining Hudson Hall is the Hudson Annex, which was newly built at a cost in excess of $12 million and opened in November 2010. It contains 30,000 square feet of chemistry labs including six large undergraduate teaching labs, a large research lab and five smaller research/instrumentation labs.
