Biological Sciences Labs & Facilities


Take advantage of our modern teaching and molecular biology labs in the Hudson Hall science complex. The department is well supplied with equipment that includes a Minion DNA sequencer, Realtime PCR capability, fluorescent microscopes, plate readers, a flow cytometer, and tissue culture hoods. Whole organism work is supported with a herbarium, insect and vertebrate collections, and a greenhouse.

Our bright and airy teaching and research facilities offer you an excellent learning environment and the opportunity to work with the most up-to-date equipment.

Located in Hudson Hall, our labs are where you can conduct research with faculty in areas ranging from biology, parasitology, genetics, neurobiology, microbiology and phage therapy.

Adjoining Hudson Hall is the Hudson Annex, which contains 30,000 square feet of chemistry labs including six large undergraduate teaching labs, a large research lab and five smaller research/instrumentation labs.
