Biomedical Sciences Major


After graduating, you will be well positioned to apply successfully to schools of medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, and other postgraduate professional schools. After graduating from this program and with subsequent graduate training, you can go on to become a professional health care provider, integrating yourself into the fabric of the health care system of your community.

What Will I Learn?


Our program provides a strong foundation in biology that includes the core sciences required for entrance to medical school. Upon graduation, you will be prepared for advanced graduate study or a successful career in healthcare.

What is Unique About Our Program?


Choose from wide variety of healthcare-related courses based on your interests and career goals such as the Biology of Aging, Immunology, Medical Microbiology, Biology of Cancer, and Cardiovascular Physiology.

You will have opportunities to conduct research with faculty in high-interest areas like parasitology, genetics, neurobiology, microbiology and phage therapy — including publication and/or presenting results at conferences.
