Psychiatry & Medication Management

The Student Health and Counseling Center supports students by offering medication evaluation and ongoing medication management services. Prescribed medications can play a key role in treatment by helping to reduce symptoms and preventing relapses of behavioral disorders. The Student Health and Counseling Center staff encourages all students who have a prescriber at home to maintain that relationship!

Psychiatry Services

Psychiatry services are not available within the center as of summer 2022. Students in need of psychiatric services will be referred off-campus.

Medication Management in Student Health

Our doctors and advanced practice providers prescribe medications for behavioral health conditions such as anxiety, depression and PTSD.

Students can self-refer for services or be referred by our counseling staff. The counseling staff and medical providers often collaborate in the care of students with behavioral health conditions.

The medical providers see patients for behavioral health medication management during the fall and spring semesters. New patient appointments are accepted until approximately four weeks prior to the end of each semester.
