Dr. Asma Husna
Assistant Professor of Business Analytics
Dr. Husna is an Assistant Professor of Business Analytics in the School of Business and Economics at SUNY Plattsburgh. She earned her Ph.D. in Data Science and Supply Chain Management from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), where her doctoral research focused on the integration of machine learning and deep learning techniques to enhance supplier selection and order allocation processes.
Dr. Husna also holds two Master of Science degrees — one in Data Science and Analytics, and another in Computer Science — as well as a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering. She brings over eight years of professional experience in software development and data analytics, with deep expertise in machine learning, optimization, predictive modeling, and information systems.
Prior to joining SUNY Plattsburgh, Dr. Husna taught a range of courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. She has extensive experience working with diverse student populations and is committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
