The Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides confidential information, assessment, and referral services to SUNY Plattsburgh state employees, their families, and retirees for a wide range of issues including work, family, finances, health & well-being, mental health, addiction, and stress. Flex Spending Account

The Flex Spending Account is a negotiated benefit for State employees. There are two parts to the Flex Spending Account: Dependent Care Advantage Account (DCAAccount) and Health Care Spending Account (HCSAccount). Both are types of Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). FSAs give you a way to pay for your dependent care or health care expenses with pre-tax dollars. FSAs are voluntary — you decide how much to have taken out of your paycheck and put into your DCAAccount and/or HCSAccount. Flex Spending Account

Child Care Center at SUNY Plattsburgh

SUNY Plattsburgh Early Care and Education Center opened its doors in September 1985. The center is a not-for-profit corporation, licensed by the New York State Department of Social Services to provide care and education for 72 children, most of whom are the children of students and faculty. NYS (pronounced “nice”) Ride allows employees to save money on a monthly basis on eligible public transportation expenses through pre-tax payroll deductions. The program is sponsored by the governor’s Office of Employee Relations (GOER) and administered by WageWorks.  Ferry tickets are a qualified commuting cost for those employees living in Vermont.
