2025 Camps — July 7–11, 2025

• Morning Camps 

  Camps: 9 – 11:30 a.m.

  • Reading, Art & Snacks with Diane Pecoraro. ages 5–7
    • After reading and discussing classic children′s books, we will dive into associated crafts, enjoy a snack and watch a short movie.
  • Summer STEM Fun with Jennifer LaDue, ages 5–10
    • Students will complete 3-4 STEM projects
  • Artsy Animals, with Jennifer Barber, ages 5–10
    • Students will make collages inspired by different books and use model magic clay to make other imaginary animal.
  • Kids in the Kitchen with Laura Rathbun & Sarah Yandow, ages 9–12
    • Students will learn basic cooking skills and try new foods.
  • Spy Camp, with Wanda Carroll, ages 9–12
    • Unleash your inner agent — invent gadgets, create invisible messages, break codes and learn about all things spy.
  • Cursive Writing Creativity, with Becky Mero, ages 11–17 
    • Learn how to write in cursive! Each day you will learn how to form a new set of cursive letters, working through the entire alphabet and building up to writing full sentences using your new cursive writing skills. You will be able to establish your signature in cursive as well! Each day will have an art component to help you learn how to write in cursive and add to the fun of making cursive letters. We will use dot markers, colored pens, finger paints, water colors, and more.

• Afternoon Camps

  Camps: 12:30 – 3 p.m.

  • Magic School Bus, with Diane Pecoraro, ages 5–7
    • Each day we will read a book, enjoy an experiment based on the book, do a craft, and watch an episode of the beloved series.
  • Fables in Action: Kids’ Theater Workshop, with Amy Gervich, ages 6–8
    • Unleash your creativity as we bring Aesop’s Fables to life through mini plays.
  • Nano Adventures: Exploring the Tiny World, with Rajesh Sunasee, ages 12-17
    • Uncover the hidden universe that exists at the scale of nanometers, where the rules of physics and chemistry are completely different.
  • Bake and Create at the 'Flour Power Camp', with Cecilia Gregoire, ages 13-17. This camp runs until 4 p.m.
    • Young chefs will learn how to make delicious treats from scratch, including cookies, cakes, pies, and bread.

  • Healthy Habits Adventure: Eat, Move & Thrive!, with Disa Seymour, ages 8-12. This camp runs until 4 p.m.
    • Kids will discover surprising facts about the foods they eat, engage in fun fitness games, and learn the importance of staying hydrated.
  • Spy Camp, with Wanda Carroll, ages 13–17

• New for 2025

  7:45 – 9 a.m. — Early Burghy Campers

  Activities for your camper before the morning session. Starts at 7:45 a.m. and your camper will be brought to their morning class at 9 a.m.

  11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. — Burghy’s Nourish & Nest

  Lunch break for your camper between the morning and afternoon session. Your camper will be brought to the lunch room at 11:30 a.m. and then brought to their afternoon class at 12:30 p.m. — Please bring a bagged lunch.

  3 – 5:15 p.m. — Burghy’s Feathers & Fun Campers

  Activities for your camper after the afternoon session. Starts at 3 p.m. until 5:15 p.m. and your camper will be brought to the care room after their afternoon class.
