Fraternity & Sorority Community Accountability Board

The SUNY Plattsburgh Fraternity & Sorority Community Accountability Board exists to uphold the high standards of our community.

The SUNY Plattsburgh Fraternity and Sorority Life Community Accountability Board (accountability board or the board) exists to uphold the high standards of our community. The focus of the board is to address chapter behavior that is misaligned with the community’s values and to build self and peer accountability.

Fraternities and sororities were designed to be self-governing and this board serves as the additional level of accountability when situations were not handled internally or violated a university policy. All alleged misconduct by an FSL chapter will first be vetted by the Group Referral Review Committee to determine which process it should be resolved through — University Police, Student Conduct Office, the FSL Community Accountability Board, informally, or referred to the chapter’s respective inter/national organization. For the student conduct process, please visit the Student Conduct Office
