Allison Swick-Duttine has worked at SUNY Plattsburgh since October 1998. She advises individual fraternities and sororities, two governance councils and two honor societies. In addition, she coordinates values-driven programming and training, oversees the strategic direction of the fraternal community, maintains methods to collect organizational/member data, publicizes the work of the fraternity and sorority community, works with faculty, staff and alumni advisors and inter/national staff and volunteers and provides additional support to organizations as needed. Allison is a former national vice president for Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority and a former board of directors member for the Hazing Prevention Network (director emeritus) and the Northeast Greek Leadership Association. She also has served two terms as the president of the SUNY Fraternity/Sorority Advisors Association and as the editor for the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors Perspectives Magazine. She is the recipient of a SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in the Profession, the Dr. Robert H. Schaffer Award and a Sue Kraft Fussell Distinguished Service Award from the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors, a Compass Award winner from the Northeast Greek Leadership Association and was named a Anti-Hazing Hero by HazingPrevention.Org. She holds an M.A. in student affairs counseling and a B.A. in magazine journalism from Marshall University.

Responsibilities include developing, coordinating, facilitating and evaluating leadership programs including the Fraternity and Sorority Leadership Development Series, Welcome Week Team, the New Member Welcome and the Future Fraternal Leaders Seminar.

Responsibilities include providing education about the Fraternal Excellence Initiative to fraternity and sorority members, coordinating the monthly FEI reporting and data collection process, and compiling monthly statistics submitted by each fraternity and sorority member. They also coordinator Chapters of Excellence showcases and assist organizations in setting and evaluating annual goals.

Responsibilities include approving events, room requests and fundraising events and maintaining the fraternity and sorority life events calendar. She is also responsible for overseeing the collection of philanthropy contributions.

Responsibilities include coordinating the public relations and social media efforts for fraternity and sorority life, where she assists organizations to increase their publicity at SUNY Plattsburgh, as well as promotes events and initiatives sponsored by fraternity and sorority life. Also writes solicits and writes articles for the FS Life blog.
