Sprintax Tax Preparation Software

The steps outlined below will help you learn how to file your return(s) using Sprintax tax preparation software.

Sprintax access codes are sent to all current international students and international alumni on OPT or STEM OPT at the beginning of each year via the [email protected] email.

ISS has purchased Sprintax user codes to assist you with filing your federal tax return. You must access Sprintax via the links in the email sent to you from the [email protected] email address to benefit from this discount. There are a limited number of Sprintax codes offered by SUNY Plattsburgh for each tax year. Please file as early as possible. Although we usually have enough codes for all of our students and scholars, please note that we cannot guarantee a Sprintax discount code, especially after the April tax deadline.

Sprintax can do your state taxes as well for an additional fee. Please see Step 6 below for more information.

Note: Sprintax is only for nonresident tax filers with U.S. source income. No U.S. source income? You just need to fill out Form 8843.
