We are passionate about supporting and advocating for international students at SUNY Plattsburgh.
GEO is your office on campus! Our goal is to support your success at SUNY Plattsburgh. We are here to answer questions about visas and immigration rules, the college in general, academics, adjusting to a new culture, and anything else you want to know. We also serve as a resource for students when concerns or challenges arise.

The international student services staff in GEO are knowledgeable, caring, and here to help you adjust to life in college and thrive as the successful student we know you will become. Here are some of the many programs and services we offer our students.
- International Student Orientation
We are with you as you prepare for your arrival to Plattsburgh.
All students are required to attend a four-day orientation guided by peer mentors which covers health and safety information, fun activities to meet other students and course registration.
The goal of this orientation is to prepare students for a successful college experience.
