Cardinal Pathways Program

The Cardinal Pathways Program is a pre-enrollment program designed to help students make a successful transition to SUNY Plattsburgh after a year or two of study at another two- or four-year college or university.

When you join the Cardinal Pathways Program, you will be assigned a Cardinal Pathways advisor who will work with you to select courses at your current college that will make your entry to SUNY Plattsburgh easy and seamless.

Requirements
1. Take a minimum of 24 credit-bearing credits at another two- or four-year college. Remedial courses do not count toward these credits.
2. Earn a cumulative grade point average of 2.3 — with the understanding that some programs require a higher GPA for direct entry.
3. Provide midterm grades (if requested) during the fall and spring semesters, final fall grades and speak with their Cardinal Pathways Advisor in the fall and spring semester about academic progress.
4. Provide a final transcript at the end of the spring semester.
5. The understanding that our traditional nursing program will not be an option for enrolling students at a later point in time. Students who complete an associate degree in nursing are eligible for transfer into our RN-to-B.S. nursing program.
6. Transfer admission into EOP is reserved for those students who were previously enrolled in an EOP-type program (such as EOP, HEOP, SEEK, or College Discovery).
