Prepare for a Career in Business, Government or Academia

Recent graduates from the Department of Economics and Finance at SUNY Plattsburgh are now working for many nationally known companies such as IBM, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, and Salomon Smith-Barney. Additionally many of our students continue their studies and are now working on graduate degrees at SUNY Albany, SUNY Buffalo, Cornell, and Johns Hopkins, to name a few.
Earning a four-year degree in economics is also great preparation for law school. One of our graduates, Ms. Jessica Rowe, finished her law degree at Syracuse University and is now working as an attorney for Harris Beach in Plattsburgh.
