The SBE Office of Internships and Career Opportunities is your place on campus for networking events, internship and job search assistance, and help with resume building and interview preparation.

Prepare for a Career in Business, Government or Academia
Recent graduates from the Department of Economics and Finance at SUNY Plattsburgh have gone off to work for many nationally known companies such as IBM, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, and Salomon Smith-Barney.
Additionally, many of our students choose to continue their studies and have gone on to graduate degrees at SUNY Albany, SUNY Buffalo, Cornell, and Johns Hopkins, to name a few. Earning a four-year degree in economics is also great preparation for law school.
Specialized courses in public finance, money and banking, money and capital markets, stock market investment and analysis, corporate financial analysis, econometric, economic issues in economics and finance will prepare you for careers in:
