Unique within SUNY, our program offers an efficient path to financial education. Requiring only four courses, it’s both affordable and can be completed within a single academic year. Additionally, you will graduate with a valuable Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) certificate.

Our curriculum covers essential topics including principles of finance, financial modeling and investment analysis, portfolio management, and forecasting and technical analysis. This comprehensive approach equips you with the practical skills needed to succeed in the financial industry.

What Are My Career Opportunities?


A stock market analyst certificate can open doors to various career opportunities within the financial industry. Here are some common paths:

  • Equity Research Analyst — Analyze companies and their stocks to provide investment recommendations. You may work in investment banks, brokerage firms, mutual fund companies and hedge funds.   
  • Portfolio Manager — Oversee and manage investment portfolios for individuals, institutions, or companies.  You may work with wealth management firms, hedge funds and pension funds.   
  • Financial Advisor — Provide personalized financial advice to clients, including investment recommendations. You may work in brokerage firms, insurance companies and banks.
