Beth Glover
Adjunct Lecturer of Theatre
Beth Glover has been a professional actor devoted to the arts for 35 years performing
in venues from New York City to Los Angeles. Her passion for the arts can be traced
back to a southern upbringing peopled with colorful characters that valued storytelling
and performing. Beth earned a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Southern
Mississippi. She began a career at CNN but left to pursue her dream of acting in NYC
where she received her degree in acting from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts
(AADA), the oldest conservatory of acting in the country.
The day Beth graduated from the American Academy she was offered — and signed a contract
for — her first union production reinforcing her career choice and reassuring her
parents that leaving CNN was her destiny. Needless to report that once her love of
acting, singing, dancing, and (eventually) writing and directing received approval
in the professional arena she never looked back.
In 2021, Beth decided to pursue a life-long dream and obtain her masters. In May 2024,
she walked the stage in Moscow, Idaho and received her M.F.A. in Theatre Pedagogy
and Acting (4.0) from the University of Idaho. As an adjunct lecturer, she currently
teaches Introduction to Acting, Introduction to Theatre, Acting with the Voice, Script
Analysis, and Queering American Theatre at SUNY Plattsburgh. Previous teaching experience
has been with Manhattan Theatre Club in NYC and various master classes all over the
country. She is a proud member of Actors Equity Association and Screen Actors Guild–AFTRA.
