Lori Cantwell, Esq.


Adjunct Lecturer of Criminal Justice

Lori Cantwell, Esq. is an attorney and former prosecutor with the Federal Trade Commission. Lori is admitted to state and federal courts and has served as administrator for legal defense of indigent defendants in Clinton County as well as past president of the Clinton County Bar Association and elected delegate to the New York State Bar Association.

Lori is an advocate for students and humanity having previously served as legal counsel for SUNY Plattsburgh’s Student Association’s legal consultation program. Lori has been asked to serve as a lecturer and presenter on many occasions over her 30-year career as a practicing attorney.

Lori believes that as members of the criminal justice community, we are enabled to affect life, liberty, and the property of others. The moral responsibility for persons with these powers and permissions makes this a very important area of study. Students who take Lori’s classes will be given an understanding of how valued and important their role is in the future of our world and how important it is to care about ourselves, our surroundings and each other.
