Your Journey Begins Here

Congratulations on your decision to attend SUNY Plattsburgh! We are excited to welcome you and we know that you and your family probably have many questions about your transition to college life. Follow the steps below to get prepared for your SUNY Plattsburgh orientation experience. 

Summer 2022


Orientation Dates

  • July 6, Live, Virtual Orientation from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
    • All new students, first year and transfer, are expected to attend this session or watch the recording of this session, which will be posted here after July 6, prior to attending an in-person session.
    • A Zoom link for this session will be available here soon.
  • First-Year Orientation with overnight programming 
    • July 10–11
    • July 13–14
    • July 17–18
  • First-Year Orientation one-day programs
    • July 12
    • July 15
    • July 19
  • Transfer Orientation one-day programs
    • July 21
    • July 22

Online sign up for orientation sessions will be live in early June.

    Students will be able to sign up for Orientation sessions in early June 2022.

Please be sure to check your emails for other important new student information throughout the summer!

  • International students and students in special programs (such as EOP) will be receiving additional information from these programs.
