• Parking

  9 to 10 a.m. — Parking Lots #11 & #12

  Free parking is available for Open House guests. Follow event signage upon arrival, and our staff will direct you to designated parking areas.

• Arrival & Check-In

  10 a.m. — Memorial Hall 

  Upon arrival at Memorial Hall, enter through the main entrance for check-in. Look for signs in the lobby to receive your welcome packet and schedule.

  The admissions team will be on hand to assist and direct you to refreshments in the gymnasiums.

• Cardinal Compass: Guiding Students to Success Fair

  10 to 11 a.m. — Memorial Hall Gymnasium

  Join us for the “Cardinal Compass: Guiding Students to Success Fair” and discover a world of opportunities! Explore our diverse programs and engaging activities designed to help you excel at Plattsburgh.

  This is an explore-at-your-own-pace event and only offered during the timeframe listed above. 

• Welcome Remarks

  11:10 to 11:25 a.m. — Angell College Center, Warren Ballrooms

  Hear from Vice President Karen McGrath and President Alexander Enyedi, who will share insights about our vibrant community, academic excellence and the opportunities that await you as a future Cardinal.

• Academic Information Sessions

  11:30 a.m. — Angell College Center, Warren Ballrooms

  Join us for an insightful academic information session with faculty to learn more about our diverse majors, our cutting-edge research opportunities, hands-on learning opportunities and how each school prepares students for impactful careers.  

  Sessions Include:

  • Fine and performing arts (art, music, theatre)
  • Biology, chemistry, biochemistry
  • Earth and environmental science
  • Sociology, gender and women studies, and anthropology
  • Criminal justice & political science
  • English & history
  • School of Business and Economics
  • Childhood education and special education
  • Communication studies, and journalism and public relations
  • Communications sciences and disorders
  • Computer science, mathematics, physics and information technology
  • Nursing
  • Nutrition and fitness wellness
  • Psychology
  • Social work
  • Human development and family relations
  • Expeditionary studies 

  Sessions are roughly 60 minutes and depart after welcome remarks from the Warren Ballrooms. 

• Financial Aid, Academic Advising & Admissions Appointments

  11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Angell College Center, Second Floor, Cardinal Lounge

  Get personalized guidance on your financial aid options, admissions process and academic advising. Meet with our knowledgeable advisors to discuss scholarships, grants, course planning and application strategies tailored to your needs.

  Appointments are first-come, first-serve. 

• General Campus Tours

  11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Angell College Center, Second Floor, Alumni Conference Room

  Attend a walking campus tour showcasing classrooms, dining facilities, a residence hall and more! Tours are roughly one hour. 

  Tours are first-come, first-serve and depart on a rotating basis. The last tour will head out promptly at 2 p.m.
