Dr. Lucia Manzi
Assistant Professor of Political Science
Dr. Lucia Manzi holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame. She joined the political science faculty at SUNY Plattsburgh in 2018. During her time at Notre Dame, Dr. Manzi was a dissertation fellow with the Nanovic Institute for European Studies.
Dr. Manzi’s book project, “Governing the Judiciary: The Micro-Foundations of Effective Corruption Prosecution, Italy 1945–1996” focuses on the conditions for the effective judicial prosecution of corruption and other complex criminal issues in Italy.
Dr. Manzi’s research interests include comparative judicial institutions and comparative law, European politics, the effective judicial response to political corruption and other crimes, and the relationship between politics and crime.
