Jason Parent

Adjunct Lecturer

Born in Princeton, New Jersey and raised in rural Upstate New York, Jason Parent uses his own identity and upbringing as inspiration for his work. With projects spanning from queer explorations of place and memory in the rural United States, to the unearthing of LGBTQ+ presence and histories in the Archive, Parent’s work aims to make visible what often goes unseen.

Parent holds a B.F.A. in studio art from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and an M.F.A. in print media and photography from Boston University. His work has been exhibited nationally, including at Leica Gallery Boston, Photographic Center Northwest, The Image Flow Photography Center in Northern California, and with the Griffin Museum of Photography.
