Administration & Faculty at the Queensbury Branch Campus

Faculty and staff on location at the Queensbury branch campus.

Director’s Welcome

Dear Reader,

Did you know SUNY Plattsburgh is one university with two campuses? Nestled between Saratoga Springs and the southern Adirondacks, SUNY Plattsburgh’s branch campus is located on the campus of SUNY Adirondack in Queensbury, N.Y.

Our motto, “you don’t have to leave to go far” rings true within the local community, allowing residents of Warren, Washington, Saratoga, and neighboring counties to remain local to complete a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, psychology, and our new computer security B.S., a field that is vastly important and quickly growing. And, launching fall 2024, you will be able to complete a bachelor’s degree in human development and family relations, a program that prepares you for over 100 different professional positions in the human services field.

The Queensbury campus also pays homage to its educational roots, offering graduate programs in both education and education leadership for teachers who want to grow as leaders beyond the classroom. In addition to academic programming, SUNY Plattsburgh at Queensbury is humbled to continually engage the community by organizing and hosting annual conferences on topics that range from climate change to mental health. In fact, we welcome your input and collaboration to make our next event a success. Have an idea? Drop us a line at [email protected].

As director of our Queensbury branch campus, I am proud to serve my alma mater and am excited to welcome you. Whether you are a community member, returning student, or prospective student of SUNY Plattsburgh at Queensbury, welcome. Welcome to a special campus where student support and advisement are done with great care, where students get to know their professors well, and where opportunities arise through the important relationships developed among classmates, faculty, and staff. The next time you find yourself in Bryan Hall at SUNY Adirondack, please stop by and say hello.

Sincerely,
Emma Bartscherer G’14
