Common Questions
How much is the fee?
The current Ed Tech Fee may be viewed on the SUNY Plattsburgh College Fees web page(see Appendix). Payment questions may be addressed to our Student Accounts office.
Can I request a fee waiver?
As a rule, no. The fee is required for all students. The Director of Information Technology Services will consider extraordinary exemption requests.
If I am not enrolled but I am using campuses resources to make up an Incomplete grade, do I need to pay the Ed-Tech fee?
Yes. You must pay the fee prorated on the number of credits for your Incomplete course. If you are enrolled in other courses while you are making up the Incomplete course, then you are already paying the fee based on your enrollment status. For answers to your specific questions, please call the LIS Dean's Office.
Who decides how my Ed Tech fee is spent?
The Director ofInformation Technology Services seeks input from the ITS Student Advisory Committee (see Appendix). An accounting of expenditures is made available annually.
