SUNY Plattsburgh Presents Twenty-First Annual PRISM Concert
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (Oct. 2, 2008) - As part of Homecoming 2008, the SUNY Plattsburgh Department of Music will host the 21st Annual PRISM Concert, Friday, Oct. 17 at 8 p.m. in the E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall.
Tickets are available in advance at the Angell College Center desk or at the door the night of the performance, beginning at 7 p.m. Audience members are advised to obtain tickets early due to high demand. General admission is $5 and SUNY Plattsburgh students pay $2.
PRISM features student ensembles from the college's music program, including Symphonic Band, Saxophone Ensemble, Clarinet Choir, College Chorale, Cardinal Singers, Flute Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Mambo Combo and Sinfonia Chamber Ensemble as well as a piano performance. The ensembles will perform in a round-robin format from different places throughout the auditorium.
Concertgoers are encouraged to arrive early. Due to the precise nature of the program format, the doors will close promptly at 8 p.m., and latecomers will not be admitted. For more information, call the Performing Arts line at 518-564-2283.
