Forum Uses 'Handmaid's Tale' to Examine Subjugation of Women
SUNY Plattsburgh’s Department of Gender and Women’s Studies presents “Handmaid's Tale,” a forum examining the work of author Margaret Atwood, Thursday, Nov. 2, from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. in the Alumni Conference Room.
This panel discussion focuses on author Margaret Atwood’s vision in her work, “The Handmaid’s Tale,” in which she paints an established theocracy empowering itself by the subjugation of women.
Dr. Elaine Ostry, assistant professor of English and theatre, Dr. Jessamyn Neuhaus, professor of history, and Dr. Tracie Church-Guzzio, professor of English, will present the panel.
