College Offers Montreal Opera Culture Coach Opportunity
The Department of Music at SUNY Plattsburgh invites new participants to the Montreal Opera Culture Coach program. Subscription tickets are available now for the upcoming 2014-2015 opera season.
The Culture Coach subscription package includes four Saturday night performances (operas by Verdi, Rossini, Saint-Saëns, and 2012 Pulitzer Prize-winner Kevin Puts) and transportation by charter bus, which leaves from the SUNY Plattsburgh Myers Fine Arts Building. Subscribers can select seating anywhere in the theater, enjoying the series at whatever vantage point is preferable at the price they wish to pay (ranging from $179 to -$488 for the season). There is an additional season coach fee of $160. First trip is Sept. 27.
“The Department of Music is proud to be at the heart of the cultural life in the Northern New York region,” said Jo Ellen Miano, associate professor of music at SUNY Plattsburgh and administrator of the opera outreach program. “We cherish our Culture Coach program and look forward to sustaining it. I look forward to welcoming new members to the program, now entering its 11th year. Many new friendships have developed among our group that travels together to see the season of operas.”
