Alzheimer's Walk to Raise Funds and Awareness
PLATTSBURGH, NY (October 5, 2007) - SUNY Plattsburgh's Alzheimer's Disease Assistance Center is sponsoring the Alzheimer's Walk 2007 which will start at 1 p.m. with registration at noon on Sunday, Oct. 21 at the Plattsburgh State Field House.
The event is meant to raise awareness and funds. All proceeds remain in the community to support Alzheimer's programs and services.
Participants can register as an individual or as a team. The names of all individuals who have raised $500 or more will be entered into a drawing to win the Grand Prize - a "Pamper Yourself Extravaganza," a package that includes a one night stay at the Point Au Roche Lodge, a TJ Maxx gift and more. Every $500 raised means another chance to win.
Registration begins at noon at the Field House. There will be refreshments, prizes and performances by The Riddlers and Tim Hartnett.
