Accelerated Pathways
Earn Your Graduate Degree Faster
You don’t have to wait until after graduation to start your future. Through our accelerated pathways with the University at Albany’s Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy and University of Buffalo School of Law, you can start graduate coursework while finishing your bachelor’s degree.
Benefits of Accelerated Pathways
- Save time and money — Earn a bachelor’s and master’s or law degree in less time with fewer semesters and lower overall costs
- Get a head start — Begin graduate-level classes in your senior year at SUNY Plattsburgh or start law school a year early through the 3+3 program
- Go further, faster — Position yourself for leadership roles in government, nonprofits, international organizations, and more
- Get support — Work one-on-one with a faculty advisor from the Department of Political Science who will guide you through the process
In the UAlbany master’s pathways, you'll take up to 12 graduate credits at UAlbany in your senior year at SUNY Plattsburgh — billed at the undergraduate rate — that will count towards both your undergraduate and graduate degrees. In the UB Law 3+3 program, your first year of law school counts as the final year of your undergraduate degree.
