The major emphasizes human dimensions in managing natural resources as well as technical skills in mapping science and geographic information systems (GIS). You will work on a regional scale and graduates are often employed with city, county, and state governments or consulting firms.

What Are My Career Opportunities?


Many graduates are employed by environmental consulting firms and work with both government and industry in the areas of environmental regulation and compliance. Still others work with environmental advocacy groups to conserve and protect our natural environment.
