Environmental Studies Major
Environmental studies is an exciting major on campus that combines SUNY Plattsburgh’s strengths in the natural and physical sciences with the wider campus community’s offerings in environmentally-themed courses from the social sciences and humanities.
What Will I Learn?
Environmental studies is designed as a pre-professional degree that focuses on the human dimensions of environmental issues and prepares students for a wide variety of jobs in the public, non-profit and private sectors.
It also prepares you with the necessary background for graduate school in a variety of areas, especially if you decide to pursue a master of science, master of professional studies or doctoral program in environmental studies at other SUNY institutions.
