Criminal Justice Minor


Criminal justice and its primary components — policing, courts, and corrections — emphasize due process of law and domestic tranquility. The ends of the criminal justice system are to set standards of behavior, prevent crime and sanction or rehabilitate offenders so we all may better manage societal expectations, trust others and go about our daily lives

What Will I Learn?


This minor will acquaint you with the basic structure of the justice system, provide a global view of justice and give you the opportunity to concentrate on your specific area of interest. You will:

  • Gain an overview of the justice system such as policing and corrections
  • Learn about how international justice systems work
  • Be an informed citizen who understands the complexities of crime and criminal justice
