Enjoy exhibition cooking, theme nights, organic and vegan choices, allergen-free options, and daily wellness specials — we strive to exceed your dining expectations.
Campus food service and meal plans are provided by College Auxiliary Services through our partnership with Chartwells. And together, we provide you with a multitude of locations, options and delicious food! We are also proud to support campus sustainability efforts, as well as providing local and sustainably-sourced foods.
What’s on the Menu
Menus are available for all on-campus dining locations. For those with special dining needs or preferences, menus can be filtered by allergens, as well as vegetarian and vegan options. You will also find details on portion sizes and calories.

- The Cardinal Nest
The newly renovated Cardinal Nest (formerly the Sundowner) opens for Spring 2025 semester! Our state-of-the-art, fully-renovated venue will include:
- Wild Blue Sushi — Fresh sushi, boba teas, hot bowls and ramen
- CRAVE Plattsburgh — 13 rotating global menus, two featured each month
- Pulled and Chopped BBQ, Mediterranean Pure Foods, D.G.B., Vindy Indian Inspired Eats, Veg 23, BONMi, City Mac, Bao Baby, Rotisserie Joes, Eso Latin and The Good Egg
- Plattsburgh Pizza Co. — NY-style pizza slices, calzones, flatbreads, pasta cooked-to-order and more
- True Burger — Fresh Angus, black bean or chicken burgers and loaded fries
The Nest is located on the first floor of the ACC. Use meal swipes to purchase a special combo meal or Dining Dollars!

- Monday - Friday: 11 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday & Sunday: Closed
Late Night Hours, Plattsburgh Pizza Co. & True Burger stations:
- Monday – Thursday: 8 p.m. – midnight
- Friday & Saturday: 8 p.m. – 1 a.m. (Plattsburgh Pizza closes at midnight and True Burger remains open through 1 a.m.)
- Sunday: 8 p.m. – midnight
- Clinton Dining Hall
Clinton offers a wide variety of choices in our all-you-care-to-eat facility. All food is freshly prepared in different cooking styles:
- Flame — Made-to-order breakfast omelets and sandwiches in the morning and burgers, sandwiches and grilled items for lunch. We use house-made bread and rolls.
- Rooted — Offers a variety of vegan options to choose from.
- The Kitchen — Presenting all your homestyle favorites like french toast, mac & cheese, slow-roasted turkey and chicken pot pie.
- Wild Pie Pizza — A student staple, Wild Pie offers freshly-made pizza, flatbreads, calzones, stromboli and garlic knots.
- Absurd Bird — Enjoy house-trimmed and breaded chicken tenders with a variety of sauces, fries, butters, salads and pickles. This station is made without gluten!
- Tortilla — Our Tex-Mex station with slow-roasted proteins and toppings for quesadillas, tacos, burritos, bowls or nachos.
- Bok Choy — From Mongolian-inspired stir fry, to Pho Bowls and Philly Cheesesteaks, this student favorite is continually rotating.
- Delicious Without — Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus all without the top nine major allergens (milk, peanut, egg, shellfish, fish, soy, wheat, sesame & tree nut.) *Please see the campus dietitian or a member of our management team if you have any questions.
- Salad Bar — Includes all the components to build your favorite salad, plus pastas, fruit and three soups daily.
Enter Clinton by using a meal swipe, or by paying the door rate with Dining Dollars. Clinton is located off of Rugar Street, between the residence halls of Hood and deFredenburgh.

- The Cardinal Market
Shop in our on-campus convenience store! Cardinal Market has your grocery needs, as well as personal care items and school supplies. Enjoy an arrangement of house-made grab-n-go meals, snacks and drinks.

- Saturday & Sunday: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
The Cardinal Market is located on the first floor of the Angell College Center right next to the Cardinal Nest. Use your Dining Dollars.
- The Cardinal Café — Starbucks We Proudly Serve
Our full-service café is proud to serve all of your favorite Starbucks drinks, as well as an assortment of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, flatbreads, house-made salads, and an array of items from our Cardinal Bakery.

- Saturday & Sunday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The Café is located within the Cardinal Market, right next to The Nest. Order in-person or through Boost with your meal swipes or Dining Dollars.
- Chapter One Coffee & Tea
Enjoy specialty sandwiches, bakery goods, salads, and soups as well as an assortment of coffee and tea drinks.

Chapter One is located in Sibley Hall through the main entrance and was formerly known as Samuel D’s. Order in-person with your swipes or Dining Dollars.
- Ghost Kitchen
The Ghost Kitchen offers your Cardinal Nest favorites on the go! Order through Boost and pick-up in the Cardinal Market via our brand new Boost Food Lockers! No lines, no crowds!

- Einstein Bros. Bagels
Enjoy fresh bagels, specialty sandwiches, salads, parfaits and beverages.

- Halal Shack
All your Halal Shack favorites, from rice and fry bowls to wraps, including Halal beef, chicken and fresh toppings.

Our new Halal Shack location is within Burghy’s Den in the Angell College Center. Available in the Boost App and in-person. Use your meal swipes or Dining Dollars.
- Jamal’s Chicken
Jamal serves up fresh chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, fries and mozzarella sticks! Late night hours in Halal Shack switches over to Jamal’s Chicken concept.

- Kent Café
Kent Café is a beautiful spot along the Saranac River and is home to amazing signature sandwiches. All of the bread and rolls are made daily at the Cardinal Bakery. Kent features ‘Tractor Beverage’ climate-friendly and organic, frozen smoothies.

Kent Café is located within Kent Hall. Order through Boost or in-person with swipes or Dining Dollars.
- Tim Horton’s
Tim Horton’s has gourmet coffees, cocoa, iced cappuccinos and teas. Enjoy bagels and baked goods, or grab a breakfast or lunch sandwich with soup to complete your meal.

- Meals on the Move at Clinton
A hectic schedule doesn’t mean you have to miss a meal to remain healthy and energetic.
Q: Why would I need a Meals on the Move? Maybe you are student teaching? Maybe you are in the nursing program and working at the hospital? Maybe you are going skiing on the weekend? Any time you are going to miss a meal because you are not on campus, plan to stop at Clinton Dining Hall and fill out a form from the cashier 24-hours in advance.
Q: Can I get it on an ongoing basis? Yes! You can schedule it for several days a week with a start and end date.
Q: Who's eligible to use Meals on the Move? Any SUNY Plattsburgh meal plan holder, not on campus during regular dining hall hours, can order a Meal on the Move.
Q: How do I order my Meal on the Move? Go to the Clinton Dining Hall cashier to fill out the Meals on the Move order form.
Q: How much notice do I need to give the dining hall? Advance notice of 24-hours is required. You can even set up to receive Meals on the Move on a regular basis each semester. For example; if you are student teaching on Mondays all semester you can pick up a Meal on the Move each Monday, just indicate this on the form.
Q: What meal choices do I have? You have a choice of a box lunch, which includes; type of bread, meat or non-meat, condiments, beverage, dessert and fruit.
Q: How do I pay for the meal? The meal will be charged to your meal plan.
Q: Where do I pick up my Meal on the Move? You can pick up your Meal on the Move at Clinton Dining Hall Monday through Friday, 7 to 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. On weekends, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Remember: 24-hour notice is required!

We are happy to partner with Chartwells to provide registered dietitian nutrition services. These services are available to all current students, athletes and employees. Waste Reduction
Our goal is to reduce waste on campus — We do this by batch cooking and composting food scraps from our kitchens and dining halls.

- 98% fair trade coffee
We have increased our efforts to provide locally-produced goods. In 2023, 22% of our produce was sourced locally, up from 8% in 2022.
