Dr. Seongjin (Justin) Kim

Assistant Professor of Economics & Finance

Dr. Seongjin (Justin) Kim joined the School of Business and Economics at SUNY Plattsburgh in 2024. He earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration (Finance) from Texas A&M University in the same year. Additionally, he graduated with a master’s degree from Yonsei University in 2017 and with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Sydney in 2014. Dr. Kim has previously taught finance courses at Texas A&M University. His primary field of interest is empirical asset pricing, with a particular emphasis on the fixed income market. His research interests also include macro-finance and investment-related topics.
