Dr. Julio Brandao-Roll


Assistant Professor of Economics & Finance

Dr. Julio Brandao-Roll joined the School of Business and Economics at SUNY Plattsburgh in 2025. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics at the London School of Economics (LSE) in the same year. 

Dr. Brandao-Roll has previously taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in econometrics and quantitative methods at both the Department of Economics and the School of Public Policy at the LSE. He has also taught intermediate courses in macro, micro, and labor economics at the University of Chicago.

His research focuses on questions in macroeconomics, particularly those related to innovation, growth, human capital, and fiscal policy, and makes extensive use of micro-to-macro and empirical approaches.
