Ms. Marilyn Reynolds


Adjunct Lecturer, Applied Violin & Viola

Marilyn Reynolds teaches applied violin, viola and string ensemble. She is a graduate of Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Belgium.) Principal teachers included Margaret Pardee, Andre Gertler and Shmuel Ashkenasi. She studied chamber music with members of the Guarneri, Vermeer, Lenox and Manhattan String Quartets. For many years Ms. Reynolds performed in New York City in concerts and on Broadway, and was a long-time member of the Orchestra of St. Luke’s. She served as concertmaster for numerous Broadway shows including Into the Woods, Les Miserables, Chicago and others. Now making her home on the western shore of Lake Champlain, she plays all over northern New York, Vermont and Québec. She is concertmaster of the Orchestre-Symphonique CAMMAC in Montreal, and was a concerto soloist with them in November 2023. She is a founding member of Metamusic and Champlain Strings, and has performed with Trillium and other groups in the North Country.
