Center for Interdisciplinary & Area Studies
The center houses a number of interdisciplinary and area studies programs, as well as curricular and scholarly projects that promote multi-disciplinary approaches to teaching and learning.
We offer a range of interesting academic programs, including minors in Africana studies, Asian studies, Canadian studies, Jewish studies, legal studies, Québec studies and the Latin American studies major. In addition, the individualized studies major is a unique program that allows you to either customize a curriculum to best suit your career goals.
The center also runs the Common Problem Project, an innovative pedagogy that fosters cross-disciplinary approaches to problem-solving.
