Dr. Michael Devine is a public scholar whose work bridges humanities research and artistic practice in film, poetry, music and performance. In his role as director he’s designed many events for the region, including the Plattsburgh Film Forum (with MLPBS) and the HUMAN (viewpoints) project. He helps students build degrees across disciplines, and enjoys working with online degree-completion students who use the Center for Interdisciplinary and Area Studies to advance their careers and pursue new professional opportunities.
