Teaching Assistant Microcredential
Prepare for a career supporting P–12 classrooms. With this 12-credit teaching assistant microcredential, you will build foundational skills that can be applied in the classroom and toward continued study in teacher education.
What Will I Learn?
You will build a strong foundation in adolescent development, literacy instruction and inclusive educational practices. Throughout the program, you’ll learn how to:
- Understand the unique cognitive, social, emotional and physical development of students from preschool to grade 12
- Learn to tailor instruction and engage students with diverse needs through differentiated instructional practices
- Apply inclusive teaching strategies, including Universal Design, to help all students succeed
