Campus Records Access, Management and Retention
What Is a Record?
Information that serves a legal, operational, or historic value to SUNY Plattsburgh. Official College publications, fiscal data, official paper and electronic correspondence, meeting minutes, reports, student and employee files are all examples of records. It is critical that our campus retains and destroys records according to their applicable records retention schedule. Records that have a retention time can be paper, electronic, microfilmed and photographed to name a few mediums.
