The role of the center is to provide a context in which faculty can effectively explore opportunities for their development as teachers. All evaluations of faculty teaching by the center are intended to be formative, and it is therefore the CTE policy that all faculty involvement with the center is kept fully confidential. This protection includes participation in center programs and consultations, and all correspondence.
The center will not report on attendance nor provide any evaluation or feedback concerning faculty members to any person, office, or committee. It is only upon the request of a faculty member that the center will release information concerning that faculty member for inclusion in professional advancement portfolios.
