What Will I Learn?
Starting with foundational courses in language and culture, the Spanish minor builds to more advanced studies. You’ll have the opportunity to explore Spanish-speaking societies, film, literature, and more, with courses taught in both Spanish and English. This well-rounded approach will help you develop a deeper understanding of the Spanish-speaking world.

Our program is designed to enhance your proficiency in five essential skills: speaking, reading, listening, writing and cultural awareness. Through immersive and interactive learning experiences, you’ll gain the confidence to navigate Spanish-speaking environments, whether for travel, work or further academic pursuits.
In collaboration with the study abroad office at SUNY Plattsburgh, our program also facilitates study abroad opportunities in Spain, giving you the chance to immerse yourself in Spanish-speaking environments and enhance your language and cultural understanding firsthand.
