Spanish Major


The Department of Modern Languages and Cultures offers a deeper understanding of foreign cultures and a more solid preparation for professional careers through the acquisition of foreign languages.

What Will I Learn?


We offer beginning to advanced level courses in Spanish. The objective of the Spanish major program is the attainment of well-developed language skills, intercultural competence, knowledge of the arts and history created within Spanish-speaking cultures, and the integration of this knowledge in the framework of the broader international scene. To advance these goals, study abroad is particularly encouraged.
