Sara Welch serves as the director of the ACE program. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University at Albany and brings more than 12 years of experience working in social work, where she specialized in recruiting, training and supporting foster families. Sara is passionate about helping students identify and achieve their goals, empowering them to overcome challenges while supporting their personal, academic and professional growth. She finds great fulfillment in watching students develop confidence, maturity and a sense of purpose throughout their college journey. Outside of work, Sara enjoys participating in community theater and exploring the beauty of the North Country with her son.

As an Army brat, Gray Adkins has lived in 5 different states and traveled all over the country. He graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh in 2016 and decided to settle here for good. As an advisor, Gray is passionate about empowering students to achieve their goals all the way to graduation and beyond.

Keagen Briggs graduated from SUNY Potsdam in 2018 with a B.A in history and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in management with a concentration in organizational leadership. As an ACE program advisor, Keagen brings experience working with students in a number of different avenues. His background includes teaching middle and high school social studies, coaching at high school and collegiate levels and as a volunteer with Americorps. He is passionate about supporting young adults and helping them work towards becoming the best version of themselves.
